Barbara D. Robertson, MA, IBCLC, RLC, LLL has been involved in education for over 35 years. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1988 and her Master’s in Education in 1995. Barbara left teaching elementary students in 1995 to raise her two children. Barbara is now the Director of The Breastfeeding Center of Ann Arbor. 

Barbara volunteered for the United States Lactation Consultation Association as the Director of Professional Development for 4.5 years. She has retired as Associate Editor for Clinical Lactation, a journal she helped create for USLCA. She has written many articles as well. She loves working with parents and babies, helping them with breast/chestfeeding problems in whatever way she can.

Frances Jones RN, MSC, IBCLC has worked in nursing for over 45 years. Currently she employed at BC Women’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC, the largest single site maternity centre in Canada with over 7,000 deliveries annually and a 70 bed NICU.  Running the  Lactation Service and the Provincial Milk Bank, she has also worked clinically providing breastfeeding support both in hospital and throughout outpatient clinic. Outside of the hospital, she is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Quintessence Foundation which has undertaken a number of initiatives in support of milk banking and breastfeeding.
